One specification to look for when you are trying to find a body repair shop is the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification that can be earned by automotive technicians.
Obviously the more ASE certified technicians that a body repair shop has would mean that they are producing a higher volume of high quality work.
The requirements to become ASE certified consist of passing several exams that test a person’s knowledge of damage analysis, heavy duty vehicles, collision repairs, and more. Also, 2 years of pertinent hands-on experience is required to become ASE certified.
